THE OFFICIAL SOURCE OF LOUISIANA SECTION UPDATES is the Section Website www.laarrl.org. Important information about your individual, club and group accomplishments will be published on the site and will no longer be included in the Section Summary. Please note the next paragraph. Any news about special events or requests for event help, etc. will be issued as a Section Bulletin to all members in the Section. If you wish for me to issue such a bulletin, simply email the information to me at k5gls@arrl.org providing all pertinent information. Because all email bulletins must be reviewed and approved at ARRL HQ, information received late on Friday or on the weekend may not go out until the following Monday.

CLUB OR INDIVIDUAL MEMBER NEWS: If you wish to have noteworthy information about club activities, individual achievements, etc. included on the Louisiana Section Website, please send your club newsletter or achievement information to Ken Standard AD5XJ@ARRL.NET. We intend to move more of this type of news to the website instead of including it here.

Club and Group Newsletter publishers please be sure to send a copy to Ken Standard AD5XJ@arrl.net so that they can be published on the Section Website! [If your newsletter is published online please send the link and it will be used.]

Propagation and Contest information on the Louisiana Section Website: Our section website has information that should be of great interest to contesters. Every Friday the WebMaster updates the propagation forecast for the weekend. If significant propagation events occur during the week, a brief summary of the event appears as a scrolling marquee on the home page and the Web Site is updated with the impact to the Louisiana Section on the Contesting and DX page in a Solar News article. To access the propagation information go to the following link: www.laarrl.org/dx.html.
