Affiliated Club Coordinator - Jim Bookter, N5NVP  n5nvp@arrl.net

Affliated Club Certificate While ARRL supports Amateur Radio at the national level, the bulk of the work -- in public service, promoting Amateur Radio, peer support and just good fellowship -- occurs in the more than 2000 radio clubs around the country.
For some 70 years now, the ARRL has sought to affiliate with itself worthy and well qualified, organized, noncommercial Amateur Radio groups or societies of kindred aims and purposes. Doing so allows these clubs to draw on ARRL's resources and allows ARRL to stay aware of activities at the local level, information we can use when defending Amateur Radio's interests. The result is stronger clubs, a stronger ARRL and a stronger Amateur Radio.

ARRL Contact Information If you have any question at all about a club or club activity, please feel free to contact your ARRL representatives.
Active On Line Club Primer The online primer here is a compilation and updating of the best of ARRL favorites: The Club President's Workbook and the Special Service Club Manual. Because ARRLWeb contains hundreds of pages of current and frequently-changing information, no static book can quite match it for information that active clubs need. This primer is loaded with helpful links and ideas galore to get your club enlivened! Thanks go to Marjorie Bourgoin, KB1DCO, and Margie Bourgoin, KB1DCO, for editing assistance; Tom Hogerty, KC1J, and Mary E. Lau, N1VH, for technical assistance, and, Rick Palm, K1CE, for his authorship of original source materials.

    — Clubs retain $15 for each new membership OR lapsed membership (of two years or more). A NEW MEMBER is defined as any individual who has never been a member of ARRL or any individual who has not retained a membership for two or more calendar years prior to the application submission.

    — Clubs retain $2 for each renewal. A RENEWING MEMBER can renew at anytime, even before their current membership term expires.

Club Updates Once your club is affiliated, it remains affiliated. To stay actively affiliated, you must complete and submit an Annual Report at least once a year. Your club's status will be changed to inactive should 2 years go by without our receiving an Annual Report. Your club can return to active status at any time by simply completing and submitting an Annual Report.
Updates are as simple as:
  • Locating your listing
If you still have difficulty the folks at ARRL HQ will be happy to assist you. Email us at clubs@arrl.org
  • Once you have located your club listing, click on your club's highlighted name to get to its listing.
  • When your page appears, scroll down to the bottom where it says:
  •  "Submit updated information for this club" After you've made your changes,
  • HIT the "submit" key and your update will be sent to us.
After the submitted data is reviewed, updates are made and changes can be viewed on the web in a few days.
